Families
Families of participating schools will be able to access Pass the Snacks support through:
-
a parent/guardian holding a current Health Care Card or concession card;
-
referral from within the participating school e.g. teachers or wellbeing officer; or
-
referral from other Geelong organisations on behalf of a family from a participating school
Schools
Individual families or the school can nominate their school to participate in the program.
The only requirement for schools is that it is a government primary school within the City of Greater Geelong region.

For each term, the number of schools participating and the amount of boxes delivered will vary depending on the availability of food sourced throughout the term.
Community
The Pass the Snacks program relies on the generosity and support of the local community. With support, the Pass the Snacks program aims to continue to support kids and their families by expanding into more primary schools, providing more food boxes across the Geelong region.

If you or your business would like to support our work, please ask about becoming a 'Snacker Supporter'.
And what is a Snacker Supporter?
A Snacker Supporter can be any or all of these helping hands:
-
providing donated non-perishable food items
-
sending online grocery orders direct to Pass the Snacks
-
getting a group together to fundraise or collect non-perishable food items
-
helping to pack the boxes for delivery
-
providing a one-off financial donation or ongoing donation
This program was named after the idea that many community hands will come together to 'pass the snacks' to the kids and families who need them.

Please help us spread the word about this program to your family, friends, schools, teacher friends, workplaces and parent groups!
